In the 1970s, Ray Poston kicked off his career at Vulcraft, a division of Nucor Steel. Starting as a welder and then moving to the maintenance department, he quickly grasped the critical balance between safety and productivity. In 1999, Ray teamed up with his oldest son, Jay, to launch Poston Painting, LLC. Based in Florence, SC, the company made a name for itself in both residential and commercial markets by prioritizing quality and honesty. After 12 successful years in architectural painting, Poston Painting shifted its focus to the industrial coatings sector. Leveraging Ray's extensive background in the steel industry and plant maintenance, Jay and his youngest brother, Josh, established a new division called Poston Industrial.
